Finding inspiration and a creative platform through the endless possibilities of light, the Light Warriors aim to create interesting and unique gathering spaces for festival goers. The Light Warriors also collaborate with bands and production companies to create custom lighting/scenic elements for the stage, as well as, turning performers themselves into works of art with our LED costumes.

 

The Light Warriors have worked with bands and festivals to create innovative and interactive LED sculptural installations. Across the county, we have traveled to festivals like Joshua Tree Spring Festival, Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Sommerset, Shangrila and Okeechobee to create large scale art.

 

Kevin Opatz - Founder of LightWarriors - graduated from UMN with a theter and film degree, and has spent the past 7 years designing light shows for music tours, theater shows, dance productions, and corporate events. He has combined his skills as a Lighting Designer and Scenic Designer to fabricate all kinds of custom LED artwork.

 

Rachel Elliott - Co-Founder of LightWarriors - graduated from UWM with a degree in dance, and has spent the last few years mixing her passion for movement with the processes of creating and installing large productions. She currently is the Director of the Roseville Recreational Dance Department, and connects to others through her yoga teaching and her Aerial Silks performances around the Twin Cities area. She freelances in lighting design and production across the country.

Working with us on installations mean working with a group that understands all the aspects of a production. From a stage hand to a designer, we have both worked in every aspect of a show/festival. We understand the durability and precision required to take a piece of art on the road, and all the working parts that go into creating a large scale production of any kind. Creativity, professionalism, and precision is what we aim for in all our work.
